If you are looking to host a party that is sure to go over well, check out the tried-and-true party ideas below.
This popular theme party can be prepared in less than a day, or in only a few hours for those high energy hosts!
Decorations
The ideal place to hold a Dora party is outdoors for fun and discovery. If held indoors, use a Mexican theme to reflect Dora's homeland. Lots of red and green colors and flags make a great accent.
Costumes/Attire
Have guests come in costume as explorers, with binoculars and a compass. If you are going with a Mexican theme, be sure to wear or provide sombreros and colorful mexican blankets.
Activities
*Pinata
*Explorer treasure hunt- use a compass or treasure map to find progressive clues, leading to a treasure.
Invitations
Create a map out of brown paper bag or construction paper. The "X" marks the spot of the party, and include clues about what the party entails.
Food & Drink
A camping or explorer theme lends itself to easy picnic food like hot dogs and baked beans. This is sure to go over well with most kids. If you are going with a Mexican theme, tacos are an easy choice. If you're brave enough, have a taco creation station for all the kids to build their own tacos.
Have a fun Dora the Explorer party!
