This fun outdoor race will have your guests tied up in knots! First, draw a start and finish line in your backyard. Pair up all the guests and have them be Olie and Zowie! Olie and Zowie need to get to the next planet but have to work together. Tie each team together by their legs for this three legged race. The first team to cross the finish line and make it to the next planet wins! If you have several guests, try setting the race up in heats and have the winners of each heat race for victory in the championship round!
Spaceball Flight
This fun game is great for kids to practice their counting. Gather the group outside and put them in a line. Hand each child a tennis ball and have them throw the ball up in the air as high as they can. While the balls are in the air have all kids start counting in unison but the must stop counting when their ball hits the ground. The ball of the last child to drop designates them the winner! If you have a limited supply of tennis balls, have the children take turns throwing the ball up in the air while all children count together.
