Kids Party Idea - Plan a Toddler Train Theme Party

All young boys and girls love trains. Whether it's Thomas the Train or The Little Engine that Could, children are excited by trains. A toddler train party is not only easy to plan, It's fun too! There are plenty of party favors and decorations in the marketplace so you'll have no problem finding everything you need. The kids will have a blast.
There are all kinds of train themed invitations. Party supply shops will carry invitations to fit specific themes. You can even find old fashioned steam engine decorations for children with great imaginations. You don't really have to look hard for decorations and a little will go along way. You can make some great goody bags that fit the theme though. And if you really want to have fun, get a train pinata. Of course, having the little ones dress up like train engineers is fun too. If you have a DVD of a favorite train story it will quiet the young ones down though before they sit down to eat cake and ice cream.
Finding the perfect cake will be easy. You will find all kinds of cake forms and themes that are ideal for train cakes and parties. Whether you go with The Polar Express as a theme, or even the old fashioned steam engine, you will easily find what you need. After the cake and ice cream head outdoors to take a wack at the pinata. You can find pinatas at party supply shops AND find all the goodies to fill them. Of course the same party supply shops should carry train theme plates, goody bag fillers and all the other train items you need,.
Goody bags are becoming a more and more important part of birthday parties in modern society. The train themed birthday party lends itself to plenty of train themed goody bag fillers. Among those wonderful items are coloring books, storybooks, puzzles, train whistles (their parents will love you and it is the perfect revenge for the air horn your child came home with), and stickers. This is a great way for your child to give back to those who have given him or her gifts while providing something appropriate to the theme for everyone to remember this particular party by.
If you want to do something really different, see if there's a local train museum or depot that can host your party. This makes a very special day and gives the kids a unique set of memories. Some cities have trains that take short day trips. If you'd like to do an actual train ride party, you might want to go with "The Great Escape" theme. Of course this theme will work for older children too. Just keep in mind that you're doing all this again next year and this party is going to be hard to beat.
